As-Salaam High School Debating Club

Image
On 18th May 2019 the As-salaam High School Debating Club led by their patron Mr. Phillip Ochieng' participated in the Nairobi Secondary Schools Debating Contest held at Pangani Girls High School. The As-Salaam stand led by club chairman Mohammed Nahil (Year 9) stunned the audience with their aggressive and well framed points as they tried to outweigh ideas voiced by the opponent team, a renown national academic giant, Starahe Boys Centre.  Mohammed Nahil's outstanding performance did not only inform the audience but also entertained and influenced the judges and listeners. He was later honored with a rare opportunity to address the audience, a privilege only preserved for the day's outstanding performers.  As-Salaam High School aims to nurture and grow each student's talents. Kudos to our Debating Club for raising the As-Salaam flag high again! Mohammed Nail,  As-Salaam High School on the stand during the Nairobi Secondary Schools Debating Contest at Pangani Girls High
